Despite the atypical and harsh situation we are living because of this virus, we have always had in mind we must move forward and continue as normal as possible. Teachers have always kept this in mind and has been transmitted to us. So after Easter holidays, we started with ABPI 7.
Against all odds, we were quite excited to know what they had prepared for us this time, and at 10 am we were finally able to find out what it was about. After a meeting in which we were put in context, we agreed to read the whole document and the corresponding annexes so that we could get into work the following day. In addition, we all saw Amelie’s film, with which we enjoyed a lot and with which we knew how to look forward to getting our work done. Although we must recognize we have also had instructions about what we did not have to keep with something superficial...
A pesar de la situación tan atípica y dura que estamos viviendo por el COVID-19, siempre hemos tenido presente que debemos seguir hacia delante y continuar con la mayor normalidad posible. Esto también lo han tenido siempre presente nuestros profesores y así nos lo han trasmitido. Por lo que después de las vacaciones de Semana Santa, comenzamos con ABPI 7.
Contra todo pronóstico estábamos bastante emocionadas por saber que nos tenían preparado esta vez y a las 10 am por fin pudimos descubrir de qué se trataba. Tras una reunión en la que nos pusieron en contexto, quedamos en leernos todo el documento y los anexos correspondientes para situarnos y poder ponernos manos a la obra al día siguiente. Además, ese día todas nos vimos la película de Amélie, con la que disfrutamos mucho y con la que supimos ver más allá para encaminar nuestro trabajo. Aunque tenemos que reconocer que también teníamos indicaciones de que no nos quedásemos con algo superficial...
-Miércoles 15-
The morning began with a meeting with each team's representative. When it ended, we all connected by VCF so that our representative would tell us what they had had been talking about. When we finished talking about that, we thought about Amélie's film and decided that it was already a good time to give free rein to our creativity. We had a brainstorm to decide the name of our philanthropic company, logo, slogan, and business card. For the name, we took all the initials of the group’s components and among several options, the one that we liked the most was "Pecem". Since we didn't agree with the rest of the stuff, we decided that each one had to make new proposal for the following day, so we would choose the one that we liked the most and we could move forward. All proposals had to be based on the five senses and some common thoughts of what we had obtained from the film. We created our website too with wordpress as it was recommended in the project guide. We decided to start looking for information on what would be like an ideal reading corner for a child. In addition, we started writing all the questions we had to ask our tutor the following day.
La mañana comenzó con una reunión con los portavoces de cada equipo. Y cuando terminó, nos conectamos todas por VCF para que nuestra portavoz nos trasmitiese lo que se había hablado. Con ese tema cerrado reflexionamos sobre la película de Amélie y decidimos que ya era un buen momento para dar rienda suelta a nuestra creatividad. Hicimos una lluvia de ideas para decidir el nombre de nuestra compañía filantrópica, el logo, el lema y la tarjeta de presentación. Para el nombre, cogimos todas las iniciales de las componentes del grupo y entre varias opciones, la que más nos gustó fue “Pecem”. Como no nos poníamos de acuerdo con el resto de las cosas, decidimos que cada una tuviese hecha una propuesta completa para el día siguiente, así elegiríamos la que más nos gustase y podríamos seguir avanzando. Todas las propuestas tenían que tener como base los cinco sentidos y algunas reflexiones comunes que habíamos obtenido de la película. También creamos nuestra página web con wordpress como nos recomendaban en la guía del proyecto. Decidimos empezar a buscar información sobre cómo sería un rincón de lectura ideal para un niño. Además, fuimos apuntando todas las dudas que teníamos para preguntárselas a nuestra tutora al día siguiente.
-Jueves 16-
The first thing we did was to show each other our proposals with a lot of enthusiasm, as well as explaining why we had chosen it that and how we had been defining the idea. The truth is that all the proposals we liked, because, although most of us do not know how to draw well, we did it with a lot of love. When we had already decided for one of them, our tutor enlightened us and told us that, even though they were very nice, none of them were actually a logo. We got carried away with emotion and did not realize that a logo must be something simple, identifying and not too detailed. Of course, we had done the opposite, but with the best intentions. Here we leave you a photo with each of the proposals for you to judge for yourselves.
Lo primero que hicimos fue enseñarnos con mucha ilusión las unas a las otras nuestras propuestas, además de explicar por qué nos habíamos decantado por eso y cómo habíamos ido dando forma a la idea. La verdad es que todas las propuestas nos gustaron, porque, aunque la mayoría de nosotras no sabe dibujar bien, lo hicimos con mucho cariño. Cuando ya nos habíamos decidido por una, nuestra tutora nos iluminó y nos dijo que, a pesar de que eran muy bonitas, ninguna de ellas era en realidad un logo. Nos dejamos llevar por la emoción y no nos dimos cuenta de que un logo tiene que ser algo simple, identificativo y que no esté demasiado detallado. Claro está que nosotras habíamos hecho todo lo contrario, pero con la mejor de las intenciones. Por aquí os dejo una foto con cada una de las propuestas para que juzguéis por vosotros mismos.

-Viernes 17-
As soon as we started our day, we had a meeting with our tutor which helped us a lot. She advised us to unify our logo, slogan, and name so that it would have a similar meaning, and she suggested us two names: "ConSentidos" or "Con5entidos". This way the name of our philanthropic company was born, and after giving it a thought, we decided that the sentence that represented us the most and therefore should be our motto was "Educar con todos los sentidos". We were looking for a lot of time for logos until we designed the perfect one for us with Word. It is made by five lines which represent us, the five components of this team with our five senses. The color was decided because it was the one we all liked the most and that perfectly matched our website. Once we had all this done and understanding that we didn't know how to work with Wordpress page, we decided to create a new one on Wix (the one you're watching right now). After fiddling with it, we found out it was much simpler, and we liked it much more, so we got to work! Once we had finished with it, we decided to write our presentation’s video script and divide it so that each one of us knew what their sentence was and could record their video during the weekend. Finally, we agreed that by Monday each of us was going to propose a design of the traveling suitcase so that we would all make the same one.
Nada más empezar el día tuvimos una reunión con nuestra tutora que nos sirvió de gran ayuda. Nos aconsejó que unificásemos nuestro logo, lema y nombre para que tuviese un sentido conjunto y nos dio dos propuestas de nombres “ConSentidos” o “Con5entidos”. Así nació el nombre de nuestra compañía filantrópica y tras darle muchas vueltas, decidimos que la frase que más nos representaba y que por tanto debía ser nuestro lema era “Educar con todos los sentidos”. Y estuvimos buscando y buscando logos hasta que ideamos el perfecto para nosotras que lo creamos con Word. Son cinco líneas que nos representan a nosotras, las cinco componentes de este equipo con nuestros cinco sentidos. El color lo decidimos porque era el que más nos gustaba a todas y que concordaba perfectamente con los de nuestra página web.Una vez que ya teníamos todo esto hecho y viendo que no nos hacíamos con la página de wordpress decidimos crear una nueva en Wix (la que estáis viendo ahora mismo). Tras trastear un poco nos pareció mucho más sencilla y nos gustó mucho más así que ¡nos pusimos manos a la obra! Una vez que ya íbamos cerrando temas decidimos redactar el guion de nuestro vídeo de presentación y dividirlo para que cada una supiese cuál es su frase y pudiese grabar su vídeo durante el fin de semana. Por último, quedamos en que para el lunes cada una iba a dar una propuesta de una maleta viajera para que todas elaborásemos la misma.
-Lunes 20-
A new week had started, and we were supposed to be up to it. We started with enthusiasm, energy, and desire to share all our ideas. The first thing we did was to decide the style we wanted our travelling suitcase to have. Although it may seem we did not spend much time on it, we can assure you that it takes much longer than it looks like because we all wanted to carry out our proposal. In addition, we had an added difficulty which was that we had to adapt our proposals to the materials we all had at home. When we were already imaging our travelling suitcase, we decided to start editing all the videos we had done to have ready what would be our presentation video. We also designed our business card, a bit late, but we needed a few more days to make sure it was going to be our final website. That day we were especially creative and decided that we were going to make video tutorials for families as a complement for our website. Each member of the group decided what they wanted to entertain families with and got on with it. Finally, we selected what base books would our classroom’s library have and leave it until next day.
Una nueva semana empezaba y nosotras debíamos estar a la altura. Empezamos con ilusión, energía y ganas de compartir todas nuestras ideas. Lo primero que hicimos fue decidir el estilo que queríamos que tuviese nuestra maleta viajera. Aunque parezca que se tarda poco, os aseguro de que lleva mucho más tiempo del que parece puesto que todas queríamos llevar a cabo nuestra propuesta. Además, teníamos una dificultad añadida y es que teníamos que adaptar la propuesta a materiales que todas tuviésemos en casa. Cuando ya visualizábamos nuestra maleta viajera, decidimos ponernos a editar todos los vídeos para tener listo ya el que sería nuestro vídeo de presentación. También mandamos nuestra tarjeta de presentación, un poco tarde sí, pero necesitamos unos días más para asegurarnos de que iba a ser nuestra página web definitiva. Ese día estábamos especialmente creativas y decidimos que íbamos a hacer vídeo tutoriales extras como complemento para nuestra página web. Cada una decidió con que quería entretener y se puso a maquinar. Por último, seleccionamos los fondos de nuestra biblioteca de aula y lo dejamos hasta el día siguiente.
-Martes 21-
This was the second day of this week we faced with positivity and energy. The first thing we decided was to add subtitles to our presentation video so that everyone who live different realities from ours could enjoy it. We thought it would be very simple and it would not take us too long, so naive... Our first problem was that we did not have any paid program. Our second problem was choosing programs which could not let us export it or keep it with the same format. However, after many hours and days of hard work we managed to solve the problem. With the list of books from our library done, we created a script in which we should follow every recommendation of each book and, quite clearly, each member of the group choose five of them to get started. In order to do the storytelling in our classroom’s library, we had to document ourselves and were surprised by everything we learned about children's classroom libraries.
Segundo día de esta semana que afrontamos con positividad y energía. Lo primero que decidimos fue poner subtítulos a nuestro vídeo de presentación para que todas las personas que viven realidades diferentes a la nuestra pudiesen disfrutar de él. Pensamos que iba a ser muy sencillo y que no nos llevaría demasiado tiempo, qué ingenuas... Nuestro primer problema fue no tener un programa de pago. Nuestro segundo problema fue elegir programas que no nos iban a dejar exportarlo ni iban a mantener el formato. Sin embargo, tras muchas horas y días de mucho trabajo conseguimos solventar el problema. Con la lista de los fondos de nuestra biblioteca hecha, hicimos un guion que debía seguir la recomendación de cada libro y con todo claro, cada una escogimos cinco para empezar a trabajar. Para poder hacer bien el storytelling de nuestra biblioteca de aula nos tuvimos que documentar y nos sorprendimos con todo lo que aprendimos sobre las bibliotecas de aula infantiles.
-Miércoles 22-
The day started with a meeting with our representative and the following message’s transmission to our group. After that and with everything we had investigated the day before, we started writing the storytelling from our classroom’s library and to give shape to this section. We decided to progress before posting anything in our web because we thought we would be faster that way. When it was written, we decided that for next day we would all have thought about suggestions concerning our reading corners, suggestions for some more sections to complete our classroom library and suggestions for our section of games as a ludic and solidary narrative.
La mañana comenzó con la reunión de nuestros portavoces y la posterior transmisión del mensaje hacia nuestro grupo. Después de eso y con todo lo que habíamos investigado el día anterior empezamos a redactar el storytelling de nuestra biblioteca de aula y a darle forma a dicha sección. Decidimos avanzar antes de publicar nada en nuestra página web ya que pensamos que de ese modo iríamos mucho más rápido. Cuando terminamos de redactarlo todo, decidimos que para el día siguiente todas tuviésemos propuestas a cerca de nuestros rincones de lectura, propuestas para algún apartado más que completase nuestra biblioteca de aula y propuestas para nuestro apartado del juego como narrativa lúdica y solidaria.
-Jueves 23-
As every time we have to share the new ideas that are going around, we started very excited our day. The first thing we decided to do was the "About Us" section from our web, in which we decided to look backwards and transform into Amélie Poulain. We all thought about three things we liked and three things we did not, that represented us fairly. We had a great time listening to the others' contributions about ourselves and remember a lot of things that would be useful for us to carry out this assignment. After that, we agreed to make a reading card for our classroom’s library and decided to make a reading corner where the children would put if they had liked the book or not, etc. On the other hand, we got together the ideas we had about the game as a ludic and solidary narrative, and as we had many questions we requested a VCF with the teacher from the subject. Once we finished with it and with a much more clear idea, we decided to start looking for the messages we wanted to put on our posters.
Como siempre que tenemos que compartir las nuevas ideas que nos rondan por la cabeza, empezamos el día entusiasmadas. Lo primero que decidimos fue hacer el apartado ”About Us” de nuestra página web, para lo que decidimos echar la vista atrás y transformarnos en Amélie Poulain. Todas pensamos en tres cosas que nos gustasen y tres cosas que no, pero que verdaderamente nos representasen. Nos lo pasamos muy bien escuchando las aportaciones de las otras sobre nosotras mismas y rememoramos un montón de cosas que nos serian útiles para llevar a cabo este encargo. Después acordamos hacer un carnet lector para nuestra biblioteca de aula y decidimos hacer un rincón en el que los niños fuesen poniendo si les había gustado el libro o no, etc. Por otra parte, pusimos en común las ideas que teníamos sobre el juego como narrativa lúdica y solidaria y como teníamos muchas dudas solicitamos una VCF con la profesora de la asignatura. Una vez terminada y con una idea mucho más clara decidimos empezar a buscar los mensajes que queríamos poner en nuestros carteles.
-Viernes 24-
We started our day talking about how we had thought to create our reading corners. It was very useful because we all thought about the other’s ideas and we finally had a stronger, defined, and creative idea. Once we had made the corresponding contributions of each member of the group and we were satisfied with what we had thought about our reading corner, we started doing the classroom´s library storytelling. We stablished the corresponding percentages, put in context the people who will read us by explaining them things they need to know and take into account to make a good book selection and we stablished the recommendations for each book that each one of us must follow to put everything in common. And with all of this, we finished another week.
Empezamos el día diciendo como teníamos pensado crear nuestros rincones de lectura. Fue bastante útil ya que todas opinamos sobre la idea de las otras y terminamos con una idea mucho más sólida, formada y creativa. Hechas las aportaciones correspondientes de cada una y satisfechas con el pensamiento que habíamos formado a cerca de nuestro rincón de lectura, nos pusimos manos a la obra con el storytelling de la biblioteca de aula. Establecimos los porcentajes correspondientes, pusimos en contexto a las personas que nos van a leer explicándoles cosas que deben saber y tener en cuenta para hacer una buena selección de libros y establecimos los criterios para la recomendación de cada libro que cada una de nosotras debíamos seguir para posteriormente ponerlo todo en común. Y con todo esto, terminamos otra semana.
-Lunes 27-
A new day begins, in which the meeting with our tutor has had to be done earlier, at ten in the morning. The meeting has made us all think a lot and it has been quite intense, and because of that, we decided not to do anything else on that day, and to progress each one in their to-do tasks, but not without first agreeing on how we were each going to record the video of the travelling suitcase and to speak and to show how our suitcases have been progressing since last week. Once the meeting was over, each one got on with their chores as we had agreed.
Empieza un nuevo día en el que la reunión con nuestra tutora (equipo directivo) se ha tenido que adelantar a las diez de la mañana. La reunión nos ha hecho reflexionar mucho a todas y ha sido bastante intensa, tanto que ese día decidimos no hacer nada más, e ir avanzando cada una en sus tareas pendientes, pero no sin antes ponernos de acuerdo en cómo íbamos a grabar cada una el vídeo de la maleta viajera y en contar y mostrar cómo han ido avanzando nuestras maletas desde la semana pasada. Una vez terminada la reunión, cada una se puso con sus quehaceres como habíamos quedado.
-Martes 28-
We started a new day, and after having taken our daily coffee dose, we connected by video call in Teams to see what we had to do. We recorded the video of the travelling suitcase, we looked at what we had left to do on this long journey, and we organized ourselves to be up to date with work (or at least to try it). But... when we were going to start our writings, we were called by the Native English Teachers to take our class, so we decided to do it individually and to put next day all the writings in common.
Comenzamos un nuevo día y tras habernos tomado nuestra dosis diaria de café cada una, nos conectamos por videollamada en teams para ver lo que teníamos que hacer. Hemos grabado el vídeo de la maleta viajera, hemos mirado lo que nos quedaba por hacer en este largo viaje y nos hemos organizado para llevar todo al día (o por lo menos intentarlo). Pero… cuando íbamos a empezar nuestras redacciones, nos llamaron los nativos de inglés para dar clase, por lo que decidimos hacerlo cada una por su parte y al día siguiente poner todas las redacciones en común.
-Miércoles 29-
As every Wednesday, there was a representative’s meeting at 10 am. But, in addition, two members of the group have had an English exam, so we had to connect later. As we did it, we realized that our tutor wanted to talk with us to see how we were going, what were we missing, etc. And that was it. As if it had been a day with few things to do, we decided to discuss about the narratives of our houses (the section about the five senses) and to edit the travelling suitcase’s video, as well as to share how we were going to do our reading corners and the essential ideas. The truth is that it was a complete day!!!
Como cada miércoles, hoy ha habido reunión de portavoces. Pero, además dos integrantes del grupo han tenido un examen de inglés, por lo que nos hemos tenido que conectar más tarde. Al conectarnos, nos dimos cuenta de que nuestro equipo directivo quería hablar con nosotras para ver cómo íbamos, que nos faltaba, etc. y así fue. Como si hubiese sido un día con pocas cosas, decidimos poner en común las narraciones de nuestras casas con los cinco sentidos y editamos el vídeo de la maleta, además de poner en común como íbamos a hacer los rincones de lectura y las ideas fundamentales. ¡¡¡La verdad que fue un día completito!!!
-Jueves 30-
Our day as a group started at 11, because due to the workload we had the day before, we decided to give ourselves a little break and to connect later. Today we had to finish our house’s videos (from the section ‘with the five senses’) and edit them so that they all fit in the same video. We also have laid things on the table and discuss about how to do our storytelling and whether to do it only in Spanish or in English too. Finally, we decided the web was going to be bilingual.
Nuestro día como grupo comienza a las 11, ya que debido a la carga de trabajo que tuvimos el día anterior, hemos decidido darnos un poco de tregua y conectarnos más tarde. Las tareas del día de hoy han sido terminar los vídeos de nuestras casas con los cinco sentidos y montarlos para que quedasen todos en un único video. También, hemos puesto sobre la mesa el debate de como hacer el storytelling y si hacerlo solo en español o también ponerlo en inglés. Finalmente, la web va a ser bilingüe.
-Viernes 1-
A new day begins in which we have many things to do and even if it was holyday, we spent an hour moving forward with our project, because as we did not have much time, we could not relax and we had to give the 100% to take this project forward. After putting in common how each one had done their reading corner, we published them throughout the day and once we had finished with this, we got to work with the storytelling and their translations that, although may not believe it, it takes a lot of time..
Empieza un nuevo día en el que muchas tareas pendientes y aun siendo festivo, hemos dedicado una horas a avanzar en nuestro proyecto, ya que al quedarnos poco tiempo no podamos relajarnos y tenemos que estar al 100% para sacar este proyecto adelante. Después de poner en común como habíamos hecho cada una su rincón de lectura, los fuimos publicando a lo largo del día y una vez dejado este tema aparcado nos pusimos manos a la obra con los storytelling y sus traducciones que, aunque no lo creáis, lleva su tiempo.
-Lunes 4-
A new week begins, batteries are recharged after a relaxing weekend (or at least we have tried). As every Monday, we had a meeting with our tutor, in which we talked about the project’s progress and how we were going to organize the rest of the week, as it was the last one until the important day, the closing day. As we had finished early, we decided to continue our storytelling, which is something that takes a lot of work and that we could not leave behind.
Comienza una nueva semana, las pilas están recargadas después de un fin de semana de desconexión, o un intento de ello. Como cada lunes, hemos tenido una reunión con nuestro equipo directivo, en la que hemos hablado sobre el avance del proyecto y cómo nos íbamos a organizar el resto de la semana, ya que era la última para el gran día, el día del lanzamiento. Al haber acabado pronto, hemos decidido continuar con el storytelling, que es algo que lleva bastante trabajo y que no podíamos dejar atrás.
-Martes 5-
One day more in which after a long good morning coffee we have connected by video call and made a checklist (like all the previous days). We started writing the first launching question, which has taken us a lot of time and effort, and later we started translating the storytelling since we could not leave it behind, because it is something very important from our project which helps to understand a lot of things about this.
Otro día más en el que tras un largo café de buena mañana nos hemos conectado por videollamada y hemos hecho una checklist (como todos los días anteriores). Hemos empezado a hacer la primera pregunta lanzadera, que nos ha llevado mucho tiempo y esfuerzo. Más tarde hemos empezado a traducir el storytelling ya que no podíamos dejarlo atrás, pues es algo muy importante de nuestro proyecto que ayuda a entender un montón de cosas del mismo.

One more Wednesday that begins with a spokesperson meeting. Once our representative had updated us with what had been discussed at the meeting, we got on with work. We continued with the storytelling and its respective translation, as well as with the second launching question. Another intense day, but on which we have been very satisfied with the work done and we hope it gives the results we are waiting for.
Un miércoles más que empieza con una reunión de portavoces, para no perer costumbres. Una vez que nuestra portavoz nos ha puesto al día con lo que se ha comentado en la reunión, nos hemos puesto manos a la obra. Hemos seguido con el storytelling y su respectiva traducción, así como con la segunda pregunta lanzadera. Otro día intenso, pero en el que hemos salido muy satisfechas con el trabajo realizado y esperamos que dé sus frutos.

We have only two more working days left to work on this of the week. We have connected as always by video call. We dedicated the first part of the day to make a brainstorm about how we could reinvent ourselves, so we decided to make an opinion cork for the reading corner. After that, we had a meeting with the leader of ‘narrative in our homes with the five senses’ as we had some questions about how to continue our storytelling, and after having solved our doubts, we were able to continue our work, to modify and to add some new things.
Penúltimo día laboral (en teoría) de la semana. Nos hemos conectado como siempre, por videollamada. La primera parte del día la hemos dedicado a hacer una lluvia de ideas sobre cómo podríamos reinventarnos así que, hemos decidido hacer un corcho de opiniones para el rincón de lectura. Más tarde, hemos tenido reunión con el jefe de narrativa de nuestros hogares con los cinco sentidos, ya que teníamos unas cuantas dudas sobre cómo continuar con nuestra narración. Tras ella, nuestras dudas quedaron resueltas y hemos podido continuar con nuestro trabajo, modificar y añadir algunas cosas.

This is the last day of our last week. Today we have been giving the finishing touch, tying up loose ends from our project and we wrote the third launching question, which was very difficult for us due to the saturation we had from the rest of the week, so we decided that next day we will continue improving it and adding new things.
Último día de nuestra última semana. Hoy nos hemos dedicado a hacer los últimos retoques, terminar de atar hilos sueltos que había en nuestro proyecto y hemos hecho la tercera pregunta lanzadera, la cual nos ha costado mucho debido a la saturación que teníamos del resto de la semana, por lo que hemos decidido que el próximo día seguíamos retocándola y añadiendo cosas.

Today we had the last meeting with our tutor to give us her feedback about our work done (which has taken us so much effort) in order to give the last details. Without any doubt, we had to change some aspects, because no matter how much effort we put on it every day, we are not perfect as perfection does not exist. We have finished the third launching question, and after that we have been recording podcasts so that everyone feels included on our page.
Hoy, hemos tenido la última reunión con nuestro equipo directivo para que nos diese su feedback sobre nuestro trabajo realizado ( y que tanto esfuerzo nos ha costado) con el fin de darle las últimas pinceladas . Hemos tenido que cambiar algunas cosas, sin duda, ya que por mucho esfuerzo que le pongamos cada día la perfección no existe. Hemos terminado la pregunta lanzadera tres, y tras ello hemos ido grabando podcast para que en nuestra página quepa todo el mundo.
-Martes 12-
Today is the last day we have to prepare our project, and nerves are on edge. As if we were in the Hollywood premiere, we reviewed and prepared the latest details for the staging that will finally be tomorrow at 11:30 in the morning.
